Vintage 1990s Republic of Ireland Sweatshirt

Dating to the 1990s, this Republic of Ireland sweatshirt by Galt Sand is a classic example of vintage tourist sportswear from the era. The grey marl body is finished with oversized green “IRELAND” lettering, red “Republic of” detailing and a colourful crest with “The Emerald Isle” banner beneath. Made from an 80% cotton, 20% polyester blend, it has a substantial but soft feel with the relaxed, slightly boxy shape typical of 90s sweatshirts. The simple crewneck construction and neutral base make the bold graphic surprisingly easy to wear. There is a small mark on the front and some loose stitching consistent with age, but overall it remains in very good wearable condition. A strong 1990s Ireland piece with plenty of character without feeling overly souvenir-like.
