This policy applies to purchases made via thrifttaco.com.

VINTAGE & SECONDHAND ITEMS

Thrift Taco sells vintage and secondhand goods which may show signs of age, wear, or previous use. These characteristics are part of their nature and value.

We take great care to describe each item as accurately as possible. This includes providing information about:

  • condition
  • measurements
  • era or approximate age
  • materials
  • notable flaws

Where we estimate an item’s age or era, this is based on best-effort research and good faith assessment, including but not limited to:

  • garment tags
  • manufacturing details
  • copyright dates
  • brand history
  • stylistic indicators

We cannot guarantee the exact age or provenance of vintage items.

Returns

All vintage and secondhand sales are final, except where the item received differs materially from its description.

Examples of material misdescription may include:

  • undisclosed major damage
  • incorrect item sent
  • significant measurement error
  • materially inaccurate condition disclosure

Return Process

If you believe your item has been materially misdescribed:

  • You must email care@thrifttaco.com within 7 days of delivery
  • Include order number, photos, and explanation
  • Returns must be authorised before sending

Return Conditions

  • Buyer is responsible for return shipping
  • Items must be returned within 7 days of approval
  • Unauthorised returns may be refused and returned to sender

Once received and inspected, approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7 business days.

THRIFT TACO MERCHANDISE

We want you to love your Thrift Taco merch. If you are not satisfied, you may return eligible items within 14 days of delivery.

Return Conditions

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition
  • Tags (where applicable) must remain attached
  • Buyer is responsible for return shipping
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable
  • Items marked Final Sale cannot be returned

Return Process

  • Email care@thrifttaco.com with order number and reason
  • If approved, you will receive return instructions
  • Items must be shipped within 7 days of approval

Refunds & Exchanges

  • Refunds issued to original payment method only
  • Exchanges subject to stock availability
  • For exchanges:
    • buyer pays return shipping
    • we cover replacement shipping (UK only)

Refunds or exchanges will be processed within 7 business days of receiving returned items.

OTHER GOODS

From time to time, Thrift Taco may sell additional products outside of vintage or merch categories.

Return eligibility for such items will be stated on the product page and may vary.

UK CONSUMER RIGHTS

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
