Vintage 1980s Philadelphia Flyers Artex T-Shirt

Dating to the mid-to-late 1980s, this Philadelphia Flyers t-shirt was made in the USA by Artex, a Division of Jostens and a familiar name in American sportswear from the period. Rather than a standard printed tee, the design uses a bold black-and-white colour-blocked construction, with the Flyers winged-P logo and collegiate-style lettering running across the contrasting centre panel. Made from a soft 50/50 cotton-poly blend with single-stitch hems, it has the lightweight feel and narrow proportions associated with genuine 1980s athletic tees. In very good vintage condition with a clean graphic and strong colour, it’s an unusual early Flyers piece that feels distinctly different from the more graphic-heavy NHL merchandise of the 1990s.
