Dating to approximately 1981–1983, this vintage Philadelphia Phillies t-shirt by Champion appears to reference Pete Rose, who wore number 14 throughout his five seasons with Philadelphia. Produced in the USA during the early-1980s Champion era, it features arched “Philadelphia” lettering above a faded number 14 and the classic Phillies wordmark, all printed across a soft heather-grey 50/50 cotton-poly body. The single-stitch construction, period Champion tag and narrow athletic cut give it the distinctive feel of early-80s American sportswear, while the naturally softened print has aged particularly well. Rose joined Philadelphia in 1979 and was part of the club’s first World Series championship team in 1980, making the number 14 closely associated with an important period in Phillies history. In very good vintage condition with no notable flaws, this is a particularly strong early Phillies piece combining authentic period construction, understated graphics and genuine baseball history.
