This vintage Swing Singapore Cha Cha ’88 t-shirt dates to 1988 and references Swing Singapore, a large-scale public dance event held on Orchard Road as part of the country’s National Day celebrations. First staged in August 1988, the event drew an estimated 250,000 people and saw the road closed to traffic and transformed into an open-air dance floor with DJs, live music, and mass street dancing. Swing Singapore became a significant cultural moment and later an annual celebration until the early 1990s. The shirt features a bold graphic back print with a smaller front chest detail, typical of late-1980s event merchandise. Made in the USA on a Jerzees blank from 100% cotton, it has single-stitch construction and a relaxed, boxy fit. Condition is very good for its age, with light, natural wear.
